Velocity Release Date

After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing with SCEE QA and ESRB ratings, we finally have some solid release dates:

US (SCEA)

May 1st (PlayStation Plus)
May 15th (General Release)

EU (SCEE)

May 2nd (PlayStation Plus)
May 16th (General Release)

Lucky folks that won a copy of Velocity through one of our competitions will receive their codes on May 1st or May 2nd depending on their respective territories.

    Any comments on how much Velocity will cost in the USA? I have been watching this game for months I am chomping at the bit to play this!!!

    Velocity is supposed to be compatible with Vita, isn’t it?
    It doesn’t appear in the minis section of the Vita Playstation Store in North America, and I’ve heard that downloading it to the PS3 and attempting to transfer it to Vita doesn’t work either 🙁

    Hiya,

    Thanks for the comment. Yes, Velocity is compatible with Vita, it runs beautifully on Vita here in Europe, but SCEA (US) have a backlog of titles to approve for PS Vita, and they haven’t got to Velocity yet 🙁

    According to our account manager at Sony, Velocity is on the priority list, but we have no ETA for when it will be approved.

    Really sorry, but there’s nothing we can do but wait until SCEA can get it sorted at their end.

      Thank goodness you posted this. I’ve been trying all day to play it on the Vita in the US. Please SCEA speed it up. Kind of silly they didn’t put this as their #1 priority.
