It wasn’t long ago that we finished up on Tiny Trax, our first VR game. The feedback from that title has been awesome and very rewarding to see players enjoy & share gameplay, upload leaderboard scores and master the race tracks! Some of you even have the platinum!

During the development of Tiny Trax, we learned a ton about how to get the most out of virtual reality, and all of these lessons are being applied to our upcoming ambitious project.

So today, we’re incredibly proud and excited to announce that the next FuturLab game in production; Mini-Mech Mayhem, is coming to PlayStation VR in 2018!

Too Cute To Resistor

In Mini-Mech Mayhem you’ll be heading into battle with your chosen robo-buddy in an immersive virtual reality world. We are keeping tight-lipped about the core mechanics of the game for now, but there will be plenty more nuts and bolts to share over the coming months.

Buddy Cop Relationship

Your role in Mini-Mech Mayhem will be teaming up with a tiny robot buddy to harness its enthusiasm, passion and power to guide it to victory! The game will encourage you to build up trust with your chosen companion, leading to intense battles and hilarious victories as a team. It’s a really special project to us which you can read more about on PlayStation Blog.

If you’re excited by what you’ve seen and heard so far, let us know by Tweeting, Instagramming or Facebooking us your thoughts and use the hashtag #MiniMechMayhem. It’s also probably not a bad idea to follow us while you’re there so you can be the first to find out more from the devs working on the game.

We’re hiring!

And if you’d like to be a part of our team and bring your own ideas to this project, we’re currently hiring for a number of positions! If you think you’ve got what it takes to join the FuturLab team, check out the requirements here. Hope to hear from you soon.
