For over a year, our team has been busy programming power and designing ‘dings’ for our super soothing hit game, PowerWash Simulator. Following a successful full release, we thought it was about time to get away from our desks, turn off the pressure and come together to celebrate.
After developing PowerWash Simulator, we like to think we know a thing or two about relaxation, so we decided to spirit our team away to Center Parcs in Woburn Forest for a weekend of friends, fun and nature.
For one sunny weekend in September, team FuturLab and their families gathered from all over the UK (and in some cases, overseas). As a remote-first studio, it’s a special moment when the whole team are all in one place, so we made sure to document the occasion – we’ve grown so much since we were last together.
As a thank you for pouring their time and talent into PowerWash Simulator, as well as SO much heart, we wanted the team to treat this as their own break. So, there was no ‘forced fun’ or mandatory group activities. Of course, many of the team still arranged group hang-outs, whilst others spent quality time with their families.
Time away from our work not only allows us to relax, recharge, spend time nurturing hobbies and relationships, but also allows us the time for new experiences that generate great ideas. After all, good ideas do not only come from inside our head, but more often outside of it.
